17 Tweets that Prove John Mayer is the Person We Need in Our Lives

It takes a special kind of artist to be willing to open their heart and soul to share their experiences in order to better the lives of their fans. This is the kind of artist John Mayer is. His honesty makes for raw and relatable music; he doesn't write generic lyrics to please the masses. Despite his personalization, I have found that there is a Mayer song for any mood I have, or situation I face (sometimes I find a song that describes exactly how I feel, before I realized I felt it).

In addition to being a great artist, he is an overall great person (I would assume, because honestly, how could you be that #relatable without being a good person??) Regardless of his wild success, he still seems to be tangible; he still seems to be the friend everyone needs in their life.

I could go on and on all day about the wonderfulness that is John Mayer (and if you ask my roommate, this is something I do often), but I don't think anyone's words could verify that as well as his could.

So, here are 17 tweets that prove John Mayer is really just one of us.

He can sympathize with the embarrassingly misinterpreted signals.

He downloads nonsensical things on his phone.

Whether you're solitaire-in' it up or goat simulating, John knows that sometimes you need to download those useless, entertaining apps.

He has questionable aspirations.

Everyone's got a dream, (Rapunzel can tell you that) and some make no sense, but it's a comfort to know, even celebrities dream ridiculous things sometimes.

He's thankful for the little things.Let's be real, it is a great day when you haven't bitten the inside of your mouth.

He shares our struggles.

He is easily amused by himself.Admit it, you have done this too.

He asks the tough questions.

He too falls victim to a good pun.He was probably board, but knew something funny wood come along if he thought hard enough.

He advocates self-love and appreciation.

He's not afraid to share his controversial opinions. He tweets this despite the fact that Wikipedia does in fact credit Altoids to be breath mints

He's publicly supportive of other artists

It's nice to know that even the most talented people take the time to recognize the greatness in others.

But most importantly, he knows the realities of our every day.So thank you John Mayer. Thank you for blessing the world with your music, your words of wisdom, and your realness. I am happy to be living in a world with you in it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
