"Alexa and Katie" is a Netflix original series about Alexa learning she's going to lose her hair due to cancer treatment, and how her best friend Katie shaves her hair off so they could experience it together.

Despite its subject matter, the show is very lighthearted as a whole and takes the route of "Hannah Montana" in the way that it's a fun buddy comedy targeted towards tweens. Even though its target audience is very young, "Alexa and Katie" is one of today's genuinely good kid shows. The friendship between the two titular characters is a very supportive one, and the parents in the show are not total idiots, unlike what we are used to in these types of programs.

It shows that even though Alexa has cancer, she's still a normal girl and goes through what every freshman girl goes through: wanting to go to dances, being willing to break the rules to have fun, and wondering if the guy she likes feels the same way.

1) When you try to cook

It just blows up in your face.

2) When school is starting in a few days

You're excited but nervous at the same time.

3) When you actually try in gym class...and fail

...Oops.

4) When your little brother gets out of doing a chore because he's younger

It's so unfair.

5) When your frenemy is being totally fake and you know it

You can see right through her lies.

6) When testing at school is over

Finally!!!

7) When you're trying to annoy your big brother

And he won't know until he gets his phone back so you have as much fun with it as you can.

8) After you submit a paper due at midnight that you've been working on for hours

Ahhhh. Time to sleep.

9) When your dad wants you to think he's cool

10) When you experiment with a crazy new look

"Oh my god, did I really just do this?"

11) When you know your brother is lying to your parents about his grades

Meanwhile, you're thinking, "you did not ace that midterm. You barely even passed."

12) When you have a sleepover with your best friend

Get ready to paarrtaayyy!

13) When you want to spill the tea to your friends but your mom won't leave the room

It's like, okay, mom, you can go upstairs now.

14) When you and your best friend have your own secret language

Only you two can understand.

15) When it's Thanksgiving and you get to have a break from school

You barely ate for the whole week to ready yourself for this meal.

16) When your crush asks you out

And it's such an amazing surprise!

17) When you have to leave your parents to go (back) to college

Even though they get on your nerves sometimes, you still love them a lot.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
