1. Everything happens for a reason.

I may not understand it in the moment, but God does, and that’s what ultimately matters.

2. Breakthrough happens when excuses end.

When you’re most tempted to give up, your breakthrough is probably closer than you can imagine.

3. If you still have a pulse, God still has a purpose.

Cliché, right? You cannot fulfill God’s purpose for your life while focusing on your own plans. He has you here for a reason and there is a purpose for you each and every day.

4. God fights our battles, but we have to wear the armor.

“And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.” Ephesians 6:10-12 (MSG)

5. Your calling won’t always feel easy, but God will give you the strength to pull through.

“He is going to send you places you don’t feel qualified to go. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.” Stop talking yourself out of the things God has called you to do.

6. People won’t always understand why you’re doing what you’re doing.

They won’t understand it. They won’t agree with it. They won’t see any sort of purpose in it.

7. He will give you what you need in perfect timing.

If God wants a thing to succeed, you will never be able to mess it up. If He wants a thing to fail, you will never be able to save it. Rest and be faithful.

8. He is always for you. (Even when it feels like the world is against you)

Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful. The good news is, He is perfect and nothing can change that.

9. No place I am ever in is a surprise to Him.

Where you are is not permanent. He has blessings coming at all times. He will change things at any time if it’s not meant for you.

10. There is a purpose in a season of waiting.

If God is making you wait, then be prepared to receive what you asked for. In your waiting, God is still working.

11. If it is His plan, He will provide.

Don’t doubt His goodness if you don’t think it’s going to happen. Press into him.

12. He’s just asking for obedience, not perfection.

The excitement in obedience is finding out later what God had in mind.

13. God himself holds our calling: Not people. Not circumstances.

Obstacles don’t prevent you from your calling; they prepare you for it. Don’t let anything get in the way of what God is calling you to do.

14. Sometimes a transition will feel like a storm.

God doesn’t always change your situation, because sometimes he is trying to change your heart.

15. Stop ignoring the signs you asked Him to show you.

Have you ever stopped and thought “wow. I prayed for this. It’s really happening. It’s really here”? If you prayed for it, be expectant. He is always working.

16. Waiting sometimes feels helpless, but God does His best work in our weakness.

When you can’t see what God is doing, you can trust that His heart for you is to give His very best to you. The wait is temporary, and what’s waiting for you at the end will be worth it.

17. Things change, God always remains the same.

He sees the depths of your heart and still loves you the same. Nothing you do will every separate you from His love.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
