Now that we are officially in Summer, many girls are contemplating going through formal recruitment to be in a sorority. Rush week is intense and you will feel a lot of emotions. Here are some of the emotions and things to expect.

1. You will see a ton of these

The glorious door stacks. Maybe the most terrifying but entertaining thing you'll see all week.

2. And a lot of this

Singing. Clapping. Smiles. The whole shebang. It can just super overwhelming but just smile and be entertained! I promise you they are sick of singing this song too

3. When somebody asks you what house you want

You never know what people are going to do with this information, but later into rush its okay to talk about it!

4. Walking into your first house ever

You are sweating, nervous, trying to remember your life story and aspirations in life. Pretty intense moment.

5. Drinking the water at the houses

It's a million degrees outside. You finally get into a house that provides something to drink. Your initial reaction is to chug it but you still have to carry on the conversation. Multitasking at its finest.

6. Trying to keep the conversation going

Please don't actually throw up, just come up with something to say like dogs. everybody loves dogs.

7. When you finish a full day of rush

You are tired and you want to be in some comfy clothes!

8. When your next house is across the row

You better hurry and get there while wearing your brand new nice heals.

9. When you get your list of houses the next day

This piece of paper can decide if your dream house cut you or kept you.

10. When the house you really liked keeps you

It is a wonderful feeling.

11. When the house you really liked drops you

It is not the end of the world, but it can be quite upsetting.

12. When you see your new friends you've met during rush

You all are in this together!

13. The morning of pref night

This is the home stretch. Just one more day and you'll have a new home.

14. Mood during pref

It is super serious. Time to have good quality conversations about what you could add to this chapter.

15. The night after pref night

That's it. You are done with rushing. All that's left is to open your card and hope for the best!

16. But it could also be like this

There is so much pressure about bid day so even though you are completely exhausted, you still might not be able to sleep.

17. BID DAY

YOU DID IT. YOU MADE IT. TIme to celebrate.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
