Anyone who has the same sarcastic tendencies that I do understands the daily struggle we go through. Sometime's the comments are funny, other times....not so much. Whether or not people understand us we must struggle through the day, one sassy comment at a time. Here are 17 struggles of being a sarcastic person.
1. People don’t understand that 99% of what you say is sarcasm.
2. Then you have to explain to them, you were kidding.
3. People never know whether to laugh or be offended.
4. You’ve become so used to making sarcastic comments you forget to add inflection, so you just sound like a flat out b***h.
5. Whenever someone doesn’t get your sarcasm you automatically think they aren’t worth talking to.
6. You have no patience for anybody at all.
7. No one ever trusts what you say anymore.
8. When you actually are being genuine and giving a compliment, no one notices.
9. You never think compliments are real.
Because of the amount of time you’re sarcastic, you seem to think other people are too
10. Texting conversations are a struggle.
Unfortunately, there isn't a sarcasm font so that means you use the same emoji in all texts to clarify.
11. You’ve started to preface yourself when meeting new people “I'm warning you ahead of time that about 99.9% of what i say is sarcasm.”
12. People constantly ask you if you actually do like them.
13. You ask yourself on a daily basis whether you have a heart or not.
14. Being around emotional people is somewhat hard.
You never know what to say and anything that comes to mind you keep to yourself because you know it will come off as a sarcastic joke
15. Sometimes you question if anybody but yourself thinks you’re funny.
16. Despite everyone telling you to be careful of your sarcasm, there's really nothing you can do told it back. Oh well!
17. There becomes a point of no return when even you question if you meant things sarcastically or not...
Good luck out there, my fellow sarcastic people!
