Lizzie McGuire taught us all so many valuable things growing up, but she also taught us that we weren't the only ones who went through the awkward middle school stages.
1. We all had the weirdest slang, which I still don't quite understand.
2. Three-way calling was the only way to talk to your friends.
3. We took the most awkward pictures, which are now haunting us.
4. We all had the mean girls who thought they were better than everyone.
5. We all had that friend who was an early bloomer and we were all secretly jealous.
6. And we all had that one boy that everyone had a crush on, who later ended up being way less attractive than we all thought.
7. We panicked while getting ready for middle school dances.
8. But then this was us when we made it to the dance.
9. We all went through that awful skater/punk stage.
But then we came to our senses.
10. We had that super awkward moment when we had to ask our mom to get us a bra.
11. There was the friend zone stage where it seemed impossible for a boy to actually see you as a girl.
12. Then we all had that awful first breakup, which at the time we thought was the end of the world.
13. We made those awful YouTube videos of us dancing/singing/doing anything that we thought was remotely cool back then.
14. The stage when we first started wearing makeup.
15. Then there was the stage when we thought we were way older than we were, although mom still dropped us off at the movies/mall.
16. There was the stage when we tried to dress ourselves for school without our parents seeing.
17. But then there was the stage when we realized that our parents actually knew what they were talking about.
