With a new year, comes new movies that will be playing in our local theaters. Some of these movies have been anticipated for a few years now, while others aren't fully developed. Now that a new year has come, get your popcorn and candy ready since these movies will be here sooner rather than later!

1. Star Wars: Episode VIII

2. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

3. Jumanji

Remember the 1995 film with the late Robin Williams? This movie will be the continuation of the original. This version will follow four teenagers who were thrown into the Jumanji world and have to play the game to escape. The cast includes film stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas.

4. The Fate Of The Furious

As things seem to be settling down for the crew, Dom is persuaded into joining a life of crime again that will put him and his friends in danger.

5. Saw: Legacy

This movie doesn't have a lot of information released for it, but there may be a theory! There was a picture reported from the set that revealed someone had dug up John Kramer's (Jigsaw) grave. Does this mean he will be brought back from the dead? We will just have to wait until October!

6. War For The Planet Of The Apes

Caesar and the ruthless colonel, played by Woody Harrelson, are forced to go head to head in an epic war will "determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet."

Christian and Anastasia are trying a new approach to their relationship, but things become tense as ghosts from Grey's past may destroy the future for them.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was).
