17 Bible Verses You Need Right Now

Sometimes we feel stuck. Buried, under a mountain of stress, work, school, responsibility. Sometimes all we see is the road ahead, filled with obstacles and hard work, and we want to shy away from all of it. But there is no need for that. We have a father in Heaven who loves us so much, and He would never write anything into our stories that we couldn't handle. These verses will hopefully remind you of that as you walk through the craziness of life.

When you’re exhausted...

Come to me all of you who are tired from carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

When you’re stressed...

Cast all of your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

When you’re angry...

A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire. Proverbs 15:1

Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ. Ephesians 4:32

When you’re celebrating...

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and His love endures forever. Psalm 107:4

Be joyful always, pray continuously, and give thanks in all circumstances. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

When you’re nervous...

Trust in Him as all times, oh people, pour out your heart before him, God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:8

God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Psalm 46:5

When you’re hurting...

The pain that you've been feeling can't compare to the joy that's coming. Romans 8:18

When you can’t decide...

When you need wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously. James, 1:5

When you’re afraid...

"Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. Isaiah 41:10

When you’re anxious...

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

When you feel ignored...

Have patience, God isn't finished yet. Philippians 1:6

When you’re lonely...

But the Lord stood by my side and gave me strength. 2 Timothy 4:17

When you’re overwhelmed...

When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2

When you’re jealous...

For wherever there is jealousy, and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. James 3:16

A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body, jealousy is like cancer in the bones. Psalm 14:30

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
