This year may have seemed hard so far, but to be fair not every year is easy. Its honestly a cliche. We are expected to live over 80 years, how can we just know this is the “worst”. That’s not fair to the other 79 years! If we put it all into a learning perspective, then its just life. Its another day, and we live through it. What if we stopped complaining and learned from it?
1. You do not have to justify yourself to everyone. Now for me, this is very hard. I’m a people pleaser so I try and be on everyone’s good side. However, at the end of the day it doesn’t matter why I’m doing what I’m doing. It’s my life not yours.
2. Time will tell who your true friends are. It may hurt in the long run, if you can’t tell. The friends that you can absolutely be stupid with, and love you no matter what. The ones that you can tell anything to, cry to, and give you honest opinions.
3. Stop expecting people to change, and accept their flaws. We always say to be yourself, but yet when someone is slightly different than us; we dismiss them. STOP THIS !!
4. Make time for the people that truly care for you. If someone is continually showing you support, let them in.
5. Show love over all. This is so important to me. Just cause we all don’t agree on the same things, you still show them love. No matter the issue, you never know what someone is going through. Be the light they need.
6. Learn to accept people’s differences, and be mature enough to still be civil. To say the least this year has brought the worst out of people, especially with this political race. We all have the right to an opinion, if you don’t agree with it.. well shut up! Just cause things happen that does not mean you can’t be respectful to one another.
7. Harambe changed my life. No explanation needed.
8. Being in control of everything is nearly impossible. Its okay not having everything in your hands.
9. Sometimes its best to be silent. When everyone wants chaos and attitude; be the peace the world needs.
10. Being kind goes way farther than an attitude will. Not only does it give others a higher respect for you, but it also shows you’re genuine, and makes you seem collective.
11. Stand up for what you believe is right. Be bold in your beliefs and stick to it.
12. Instead of judging, try to understand their pains. As a christian we are so quick to judge someone, and the way they represent themselves. What if instead we stepped back, got to know them, and gave them the love need. Instead of belittling them, understand them.
13. Put other peoples perspectives in your view front. We all see things differently, we intake difficulties other ways too. We may not see what you see.
14. Find freedom in lowering your expectations. When you don’t leave room for people to disappoint you, well whats there to be sad about?
15. Deal with your problems now. If you keep setting it aside, it’ll never get solved. You can’t run away and avoid them forever.
16. What’s yours will find you eventually when its lost. If its meant to be, it will be.
