The 17 Stages Of Job Hunting As Told By DJ Khaled

It takes a lot of energy and is stressful, but it’s necessary if you want to eat and keep your Netflix membership— two joys in life that no one wants to give up. Yes, it’s the dreadful the job hunt. Searching for a job can be an exhausting process, but it's important to never give up and to believe in yourself. And, who better to describe the pathway to success in finding a job better than the Snapchat king, DJ Khaled, himself?

1. When you find the motivation to start the hunt

The urge to online shop is increasingly strong, but you have no money. It's about time you get a job, so you can finally buy the items that have been sitting in your cart for weeks. And think, when you have a job, you can eat out more often, go to more concerts, buy more dogs— the benefits and possibilities are endless.

2. When you scroll through the massive list of online job postings

You get to page five and start to doubt if it's really worth the effort.

3. When you’ve gone through hundreds of options and are either not qualified for the job or not interested in performing tasks like cleaning toilets

At this point, you've almost gone through an entire box of Oreos. You're covered in crumbs and despair.

4. When you turn to a friend to see if they know of any job openings you’d be interested in

Your friends are usually in the know when it comes to these things. Fingers crossed they can help you out on your journey to more success.

5. When you finally encounter a few jobs you think you can handle and would enjoy doing

Sitting at a desk while answering phone calls and emails? Sounds like your kind of job.

6. When you look at your stellar resume and think to yourself, “How could they not hire me?”

It's a simple job and you're more than capable handling it. You might even get rejected for being overqualified.

7. When you realize all of your effort paid off because you got an interview

Good thing you didn't give up searching through all of those online job postings!

8. When you give yourself the biggest pep talk of your life in front of the mirror before going to the interview

You've got this. The job is practically yours already. They will probably hire you on the spot because that's just how great you are. Now, get out there and show them who's the best of the best!

9. When your nerves start to kick in and you're on the verge of a mental breakdown while waiting to be called into the interviewer’s office, but you try to remain calm

Breath in. Freak out. Breath in. Freak out.

10. When you try to convince your potential employer that you would be an extremely valuable asset to the company

Right now, the company is good, but you can make it great. With your talent and determination, the company's success will skyrocket.

11. When you walk out of the interview confident that you nailed it

After that interview, you would definitely hire yourself.

12. When you wait … and wait … and wait for a call and you start to over analyze everything from the interview, so you attempt to distract yourself

Hmm, the sidewalk looks a little dirty. You better clean that incase you ever drop food on it then proceed to pick it up and eat it. This way, it will be less shameful to eat off of the ground. After you're done with it, the sidewalk will basically be as clean as a plate.

13. When distracting yourself fails so you go out into the world in search of relaxing activities

Your hairdresser gives the best head massages in the world. The stress flows out of your head with every hand motion.

14. When you still haven't heard anything back and you fight the urge to scream as loud as humanly possible

On a scale from one to ten, one being very impatient and ten being highly patient, you are a -100.

15. When you convince yourself that if you don't get the job, it's not the end of the world

At least you're alive.

16. When you finally get a call and you got the job

"They don't want you to win." You showed them.

17. When you feel like you actually have your life together for once, so you reward yourself with a nice long nap

It was an exhausting process, but you came out a winner. You deserve a break from life. Treat yourself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
