2000: What a year. Even though personally, I was quite young that year, I still appreciate many things from back in the day, one of them being the music. It's hard to believe that it's been 16 years since the turn of the century—songs that once seemed like chart toppers are now on "TBT" playlists. It's hard to pick just 16, but in no particular order, here are 16 songs from 2000—16 songs turning 16 this year, 16 songs that we should never forget and always bump to.

Because we all live for young JT and Lance Bass's frosted tips.

Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
