Anyone who has spent time in London can attest to the fact that it is a place like no other. The amazing sights, history, and culture make it incomparable. As one of the most visited cities for study abroad, it is clear that London certainly makes for an unforgettable trip! There are a few telltale signs that someone has studied abroad in London.
1. You developed a deep undying love for cider.
Nothin' like stocking up some good ol' pear cider from Sainsbury's.
2. You realized there really is no place quite like Tesco. It might be a little sketchy and it takes forever to checkout your items, but its got everything you could ever need...
Not to mention, there's one on every block.
3. You quickly realized just how great American food is compared to England's…
Beware of the mysterious meat they call "bacon."
4. You grew accustomed to getting weird looks on the tube…
Those damn Americans, am I right?
5. Even to this day, you have to stop yourself from calling apartments "flats" so your friends don't make fun of you.
6. You made the mistake of waking up early to see Buckingham Palace and the changing of the guard… which is seriously overrated.
#sorrynotsorry
7. At first, you got very nervous about crossing the street...
But soon realized you just have to wait for the green man (don't want to get bus foot).
8. You didn't mind British men hitting on you (usually).
It's all in the accent, boys.
9. You got annoyed when your friends inevitably grew sick of hearing all of your stories from abroad, but you really can't blame them.
"This one time, in London…"
10. But whenever you do get to talk about your trip, you make this face:
11. You've perfected the British accent and love to show it off whenever you can.
Cheerio, mate.
12. When you get home, you're surprised that your friends only drink on the weekends, considering you drank every night.
13. You always feel like you're back in London whenever you hang out with the people from your trip...
And you guys spend a good hour reminiscing.
14. You really miss being surrounded by so much history and culture wherever you looked.
15. This was, is, and always will be your favorite place:
Plus, the Chinese restaurant next door was perfect for some late-night drunk food.
16. You can't wait to go back!
