So you're a 20-something now; the awkward teen years are gone and it is time for a new chapter of your life. This is the time when many travel the world, spend nights partying until the sun comes up, and doing things that their teen self couldn't handle, and their future older body wouldn't allow. This is the time to really live according to many, but you my friend are the exception. You somehow jumped from those awkward teen years to a time in your life where you have a self-imposed bedtime, and seldom stay up past it; you are an old soul trapped in a 20-something's body, and for those who are not, here is what it's like:
1. You cannot and will not even try to function without coffee.
2. You are on time early for everything.
3. You rarely understand why people younger than you do the things they do.
4. And sometimes you can't even keep up with people your own age either.
5. If your apartment caught on fire you would grab your matching pajama set before anything else.
6. Unless you're wearing it already (which is very likely) so you make an A-line for your coffee maker.
7. You take pride in looking put together.
8. You genuinely enjoy spending time alone.
9. You are your friends' parents' favorite friend because you love making conversation with them.
10. You would much rather spend a night with a good book or catching up on your favorite shows than going out to a crowded house party.
11. And you have your excuses for why you can't go to said "house party" down to a science.
12. But when those fail and you get dragged "out" you are sure to be back by midnight at the latest.
13. Because wasting the day away is your worst nightmare.
14. And you don't have patience for people or things wasting your time.
15. Although you do always make time for your friends to give them your motherly advice.
16. Because in the end you may be the mom of the group, but you're not like regular moms...
