16 things I will remember about 2016 or that I got out of 2016 whether good or bad:

1. A serious relationship of mine ended, and I will still be getting over it for awhile.

2. I made it into and started the Nursing Program at Indiana University East.

3. I made a new lifelong friend.

4. We cracked the glass ceiling with our first female being nominated for President of the United States by a major party.

5. We had to elect a new President, and it's unfortunately Donald Trump.

6. My grandmother died after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

7. I made it through another year of college.

8. I finally turned 21.

9. I got an amazing job at a bridal/dress shop.

10. The amazing revival of Gilmore Girls happened.

11. The revival of Fuller House happened.

12. The tragedy in Tennessee happened.

13. The problem with the cross on the town square Christmas tree in Knightstown, Indiana happened.

14. I joined the Odyssey online community and began writing articles.

15. One of my best friends got married, and I got to take her pictures of the big day for her.

16. I embraced my curly hair finally, since it got too long for me to want to hassle with and straighten that is.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
