17 Reasons Why College Students Can Relate To The Grinch
The Grinch

This time of year is when the grinch in every college student surfaces. If you are a college student, you can definitely relate to these things the grinch does:

1. He Hates Leaving The House

As a college student, we often struggle with wanting to go out or lay in bed binge watching Netflix. And when we decide to go out, we usually regret it and wish we stayed inside to binge watch Netflix.

2. He Can't Stand Having Feelings

Anyone else find super exhausting to care?

3. If The Outfit Isn't Right, He's Not Going

How many times have you tried on 500 outfits and none of them were right, so finally you gave up and laid down?

4. He Eats Even When He's Not Hungry

This one is self explanatory.

5. Sometimes He Doesn't Eat At All

I forget to eat Monday-Wednesday.

6. He Doesn't Relate To The Christmas Spirit

I know I'm not the only one who doesn't understand some of the Christmas traditions.

7. He Does What College Students Do 97% Of The Time

"Sorry I can't come, I have plans."

8. He Finds It Hard To Find People He Like

9. Sometimes it's easier to just hang alone.

10. Sometimes He Gets A Little Ambitious

It's a Saturday night and you decide there's nothing good on Netflix to watch so you hit up your suite mates to go out on the town.

11. He's A Very Busy Guy With A Strict Schedule

Alright, even on those days you want to go outside you find it so difficult with a super packed schedule: 5 essays, 2 exams to study for, etc.

12. He's Always Feeling Himself

Trying on clothes turns into NYC Fashion Week.

13. The Only Person He Has To Talk To Are The Echoes Off The Walls

College is a lonely place.

14. He Hates When People Come Into His Room

How dare someone enter your crying place?

15. He Always Plans On Coming Home Early

For more important events.

16. His Only Friend Is His Dog

Guilty.

17. He's Actually A Super Nice Guy

Despite everything else, he's got a super big heart.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
