If you prefer the warmth like me, then you probably agree that when you take out the Holidays, winter pretty much sucks. However, for some reason, winter is also the perfect time to cozy up to a hottie on a nice date. That being said, the hopeless romantic in me has thought up countless winter date ideas that are easy, fun, and cheap (if not FREE). You're welcome.

1. Go see the Zoo lights

This is a fun date for you to do whether it's just you two or with a group. Make sure to bundle up as you'll be outside in the cold!

2. Grab some hot chocolate

Because who doesn't like a nice cozy date drinking hot cocoa?

3. Build a blanket fort

I haven't built a blanket fort since I was little, but this just seems like such a fun thing to do before cozying up for a movie.

4. Go sledding

Because are you really ever too old for this?

5. Build a snowman

Do you wanna build a snowman? Come on let's go and play...

6. Have a snowball fight

This is a great way to stay playful, but also bring out your competitive side.

7. Christmas movie marathon

What better way to get in the mood for the season than by binge watching Elf and Polar Express, or even classics like White Christmas or It's a Wonderful Life?

8. Build a gingerbread house

I've honestly never built one, and I think it would be so much fun to try.

9. Drive around and look at Christmas lights

I remember driving around town with my family when I was little, looking at the decorated houses. This would also be a good date because it gives you plenty of time to talk.

10. Go on a sleigh ride

I've wanted to go on a sleigh ride since Scott Calvin took Carol on a ride to the Christmas party in The Santa Clause 2...

11. Take a photo with Santa

Because why not?

12. Decorate a Christmas tree

This can be a tedious job, but if you blast some Christmas music, it suddenly turns into a lot of fun!

13. Go ice skating

Ice skating has always been something I love doing in the winter time, and it's even more fun with someone you care about.

14. Shop for presents

Granted, most guys might not like this idea too much, but its nice for girls because you have someone to carry all your bags (:

15. Bake and decorate Christmas cookies

This is a good idea because baking anything means you could get a little messy, and sometimes that can be very fun.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
