Remember when you were little and you couldn't wait to grow up? Let's admit it, growing up is great. You can eat ice cream whenever you want. You can stay up late and continue on to the fourth episode of the show you're binging. You can even buy that thing you definitely don't need because no one is here to tell you no.

But even with that in mind, wouldn't it be great to be a kid again? Forget the whole idea of bedtimes or those matching outfits your mom made you and your sibling wear. What about the simplicity behind life? What about the feelings of innocence and curiosity?

We all have to grow up sometime, but that doesn't mean we have to completely forgo these feelings.

Here are 15 ways you can embrace your inner child because let's face it, you're always a kid at heart.

1. Color in a coloring book.

Coloring in the lines is a social construct. Also, it's highly encouraged that you color someone's hair purple.

2. Watch an animated movie.

Let's be real, Pixar was made for adults, not children.

3. Read your favorite childhood book.

I will never understand the concept of green eggs and ham nor should you.

4. Turn off your phone and play outside.

Remember when you had to use a landline to call your friend and you had to talk to their mom way before you could talk to them? Such a hassle.

5. Make friendship bracelets.

You get a bracelet, you get a bracelet, YOU get a bracelet.

6. Build a pillow fort in your dorm or living room.

Isn't it cool that you can tear apart your whole room and no one can tell you no? Shout-out to those roommates who just understand too.

7. Do a puzzle.

A 500 piece puzzle will not only test your patience, but your overall sanity.

8. Go on a road trip with friends and play car games.

No more fighting over the aux cord. Instead, how about you guess what I'm thinking in 21 questions.

9. Sing and dance around the house.

Cue the opening scene from the Lizzie McGuire movie.

10. Wear something silly.

Don't throw out that miscellaneous sock. Who says you can't rock mismatched socks under your pantsuit?

11. Step in that rain puddle.

Do it. You know you want to. It's your life calling.

12. Make a ginormous ice cream sundae.

Oh, will this spoil my dinner? That's okay, this is dinner.

13. Smile at a stranger.

Smile at someone, something, or even yourself.

14. Let yourself cry.

We all need to sometimes and it doesn't make you any less of a person.

15. Be vulnerable.

Share your thoughts and feelings with others. Don't feel guilty for being YOU.

Allow yourself to experience life, love, and laughter.

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
