Ah, spring break: a time for many things. For pondering within reflection, fun, more work, and whatever else suits your fancy. As of now, I'm roughly 75 percent into the end of the first year. On one hand I'm surprised that events have culminated so quickly, while on the other I feel that time was spent rather well with classes, activities, and the like. So, what to do now? If you're a bit stuck as I am, here are some ideas to get in motion.
Of course, "unconventional" is subjective, so here are some things that I have either done or maybe plan on doing (and also what I typically don't do).
1. Sleep in. Stay unconscious.
2. Wake up with a slow, grunting reluctance, to the point where you pretend you don't exist and rather, just act as a concept.
3. Stand in front of the mirror in your underwear until something happens.
4. When such event has happened, spend the entire morning browsing social media.
5. Wait until afternoon to have breakfast.
6. Recite various rap songs to yourself while eating cereal and planning to accomplish tasks.
7. Be on the lookout for calls or emails that may alter your life for the rest of the day.
8. Resist urge to go outside; instead, stay inside and reflect on why everything around you is insane.
9. Binge on video game play-throughs while attempting to resist doing anything.
10. Attempt to do the "thing" that you wanted to do, but end up failing miserably at doing so.
11. More social media browsing. This time with those "late night songs" you feel awkward to when listening at any earlier time.
12. Pout and stare absentmindedly at random objects through dinner.
13. Continue to stay up, back on social media wondering where all the time in the day has gone.
14. Sleep at 4 a.m.
15. Repeat process for entire week until you can go back.
