College is different for everyone but there are some experiences that have similar reactions all across the board. Here are 15 times that the American TV show, "The Office," inadvertently describes college.

1. When writing an essay for any class.

Writing a college essay is an intimidating task whether or not you are good at a subject or not and more often than not, you have no idea what direction to go in.

2. Walking out of class every day.

Especially if you're are in a major-specific course, there are rarely days you walk out of a class and feel perfectly content with the material that was just given to you.

3. Free Food in the Quad.

It's college and the need for free is real. Some might say that the lines aren't worth the wait, but they clearly haven't eaten Ramen for 7 meals straight yet.

4. Waking up on Sunday morning.

Sunday's are usually the worst day of the week solely because we all know Monday is right after it and we only have so many hours to relax and have fun before we return to class.

5. The food in the Dining Hall.

I know that cooking food in large quantities with high quality is difficult, but I would rather wait a few more minutes than my food still tastes like the ground.

6. When someone in your group doesn’t do their part of the project.

Group projects are great until that one person decides that they don't have to do anything but expect the same grade.

7. After you help your friend with a problem on the homework.

Helping out your friends is great, especially if you're the only one around that can save them from failing the assignment.

8. Exam Week is coming up.

There is no stress like studying for multiple exams at one time and there certainly is no time for nonsense.

9. When the line at the dining hall is long.

It's hard enough to find time to eat in college, so walking into the caf to see a line of 20 people at the only decent food line can make you feel some type of way.

10. The food served at the dining hall.

Let's be real, it's great that there is an abundance of food available, but quality beats quantity.

11. Looking at your bank account.

It's college and your money is scarce. Even if you are able to hold down a job while participating in extracurriculars, and keeping your grades up, the money somehow just disappears.

12. When the dorm above you decides to blast music, so you declare war.

In this type of situation, you fight fire with fire.

13. After every assignment in college.

This one speaks for itself and is surprisingly true.

14. When you’re only halfway done with that night's assignments and you’ve hit your max stress level.

Sometimes the stress is too much to handle and you would do anything for it to just stop for one moment.

15. College is hard, stressful, and a bit overwhelming, but let’s be real, who really wants to get out and start in the “real” world?

Sometimes the workload and stress make it feel like a never ending process but if we take a step back, we realize that college is pretty great.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
