We're all guilty of bad habits. Some it's smoking, others it's biting their nails. But we seem to look over some things we do every single day that impact our outlook on life. Here are 15 things people need to stop doing:
1) Stop comparing yourselves to others.
As the famous author Dr. Seuss once said: "Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you."
2) Stop wasting your time around negative people.
If somebody doesn't want the absolute best for you and has nothing but mean things to say, kick em' out the door.
3) Stop giving multiple chances to people that don't deserve them.
Odds are if they keep making the same mistakes over and over again, they aren't going to change.
4) Stop hating the body you were given.
You only have one body, so love it. Have stretch marks? That's awesome. Got some cellulite? Amazing. Don't like your rolls? Well, they're wonderful. The only person who's opinion matters is your own.
5) Stop judging others.
You never know what kind of battle somebody is facing, so don't be so quick to judge.
6) Stop making excuses.
The only thing stopping you from reaching your goals is you.
7) Stop second-guessing yourself.
Do it, and do it with confidence. you crash and burn? Oh well, life will move on.
8) Stop hoping and wishing for things.
Sitting around and hoping isn't going to get you anywhere, you have to go out and work to achieve your goals.
9) Stop doing things to please others.
The only thing that matters is YOUR happiness, stop wearing yourself thin trying to make other people happy.
10) Stop overthinking.
It may seem like the end of the world in that moment, but just take a step back and take a breath.
11) Stop holding grudges.
Things happen, but life continues on. Stop holding onto the past and letting it effect your relationships with people.
12) Stop pushing people away.
People do care about you, and a lot of them just want to make you happy. If you keep pushing people away, eventually you aren't going to have anyone to push away.
13) Stop living in the past.
The past has happened, there is nothing you can do to change it. You have to live in the now, and focus on the future.
14) Stop being so hard on yourself.
There is no harsher critic to you than your own self, so cut yourself some slack.
15) Stop letting life pass you by.
Instead of sitting inside on your phone, go out. Go for a walk. Create a painting. Go for a swim. Go out with friends. Do something, make memories, and stop letting the days waste away.
