In the honor of National Grandparents' Day just a few days ago, I would like to dedicate this piece to my grandmother and all the grandparents who have been there with their grandchildren through thick and thin. Thank you for all the unconditional love and support that is everlasting.

1. I am thankful for your existence.

Thank you for all the unconditional love you have given me since day one—putting me above everything else and giving me priority for the last 21 years without a single complaint.

2. I love you.

These words are not enough to tell you how much I do.

3. You made me who I am today.

The way you raised me all these years with extra care and walked with me at every step in all my successes and failures has made me, me.

4. I miss you every day.

I know you live thousands of miles away from me, but there’s never a day when we don’t miss you. Now that you came to visit, our family is complete once again.

5. One day I will make you very proud, even though you are proud of me no matter what.

6. I love to eat all your food (even though it makes me fat).

You are seriously the best cook ever. Also, the best persuader ever to not give up until all the food is eaten.

7. I wish I could travel like you do at 80.

You are full of life and very enthusiastic. I hope to have half the energy you have by the time I am that old!

8. I love listening to your life stories and experiences

It is amazing to hear how different it was back then.

9. Your smile is contagious, and you are beautiful eternally.

10. I will always treasure all the valuables you gave me forever.

I love when you get excited about earrings, necklaces, and bags!

11. I am sorry if we don’t get to talk every day, but you are always in my thoughts.

12. I can’t wait for you to be there on my graduation and my wedding days.

13. I am sorry if I was ever mean to you.

We mostly “fight” over older views and modern views.

14. I feel lucky to be your granddaughter.

And you are the best grandmother anyone could have.

15. Finally, happy early 80th birthday.

May you live a long life and see us grow. I hope you stay healthy all the time and see this on your special day. I am always with you.
