1. You enter your room and it’s not how you left it…
This happens to all of us. There is something even the slightest thing that might change in your room. Your parents' possibilities of changing your room are quite endless and the possibilities are infinity. For instance your room could turn into a guest room, sewing room, storage room, or quite possible the worst is a younger sibling takes over. However, there are the lucky few that do walk into an untouched room.
2. In your dorm you have things your way.
After being on campus for a while your dorm eventually becomes your home. It is a place where you can relax, do homework, or whatever your heart desires. The best part is your dorm is set up how you want it. So some of us like to have our clothes neatly folded in out closets while some of us have a flood of clothes coming out of our closets either way no judgment because its your dorm and you have things your way. While at home that might not be the case...
3. You feel like you forgot how to live at home.
Lets face it things when you go home are not the same, which isn't a bad thing; however, you might feel like you have no permanent home because you are on campus for most of the year and then come home during the summers and holidays. So all there is to do is to adjust quickly and embrace the time at your old home and new home.
4. But hey, now you can sleep in YOUR OWN BED. Even stay up until 3 a.m and wake up at 1 p.m.
5. Some of us have jobs. After all how are we going to pay our tuition?
6. Life keeps going on.
If you are visiting home for a week or maybe longer that everyone else will go on with his or her daily routine while you have no idea what to do (unless your professors made sure to give you homework). Your parents will go to work and your siblings will go to school and your house might be empty (expect for any of your adorable pets). On the bright side you are free to do what you want! You could go out with friends who are also home or be a lazy couch potato. The choice is yours.
7. Being able to drive again.
Again having the freedom to go where you want when you want!
8. Some of your friends might not have break the same time you do.
There is honestly nothing to say about this because it just sucks…
9. But at least one of your friends has to be off… Right?
It feels amazing to finally reunite with your best friends and have things go back to the way they were.
10. Besides, you still have your pets.
Most of us have cute and adorable faces waiting for us as soon as we walk through our front door. Yes, our pets! They will jump, yelp, and wag their tails like crazy because of your return.
11. You also have the perks of having your mom do your laundry.
12. Another perk: Having home cooked meals and going out to your favorite restaurants.
13. Homework? I am mean you could try to do...
14. OR you could Netflix and binge watch all your favorite shows.
15. Most importantly you will miss campus but everything will be there when you get back.
While being home is great and seeing old friends is refreshing you will miss campus, the friends you made, and the routine you started there. After all, it will start feeling like a new home. You will probably end up texting and snap chatting your friends from college about all the great things at home and to keep them well informed about your life until your return to campus.
