So, with family weekend coming up, I figured I would talk about someone in my family that always has my back, my sister. If you have a sister, you can relate to so many of these instances. There are honestly just some things that only a sister would do for you, and that’s why I am so thankful for mine. Here are the top 15 things only a sister would do for you:
1. Sneak onto your mom’s phone when you accidentally drunk text her confessions meant for your BFF’s.
2. Not let you leave the house when your “super cute” new outfit is actually hideous (even though it was $50 and you almost want to wear it anyway).
3. Laughing at your jokes that are really embarrassing and that no one else understands because it’s from your guilty pleasure TV show on Disney Channel.
4. Cuddle with you even though she hates cuddling because your sad and need someone to hold you.
5. Double team b***hing out a mean girl when you’ve taken enough.
6. Make up excuses to your grandparents on why you had to ditch brunch last minute (hangovers aren’t exactly a valid excuse in their eyes).
7. Sit in the driveway with you for hours because all the lights in your house are off and you’re both too scared to go in first.
8. Let you barrow her favorite shirt even though you’re going to a crazy concert and it could very possibly get ruined.
9. Comment on your Instagram picture telling you how cute you are even though she was the one that took the picture.
10. Bear with you when you’re going through all your weird phases—Goth was cute at one point, right?
11. Help plan your future wedding with the boy in your math lecture that you’ve never talked to before, but you and your sister know him well enough from all the social media stalking you’ve done together.
12. Send you inspirational quotes when you’re having a bad day, and send pictures of you in your awkward stage on days you’re feeling a little too confident.
13. Put lotion on your back after you went in a tanning bed without your parents permission and you can’t be caught peeling.
14. Smell your underarms, feet, breath ect. for you when you feel you need a second opinion.
15. And finally, be there for you regardless of the situation, time, or place.
