15 Things Makeup Junkies Know To Be True

We all know that person, or better yet, are that person: the person whose world revolves around makeup. It's a road that once you go down, there is no turning back. And any true makeup addict knows that and these 14 things to be true.

1. You are not bougie about anything. Except your makeup.
You may not be wearing Louis Vitton's on your feet or carrying a Channel handbag, but we can all bet that your foundation is Dior and your lipstick is Marc Jacobs, because those are the things that really matter in life. Although you do find some diamonds in rough at Target, most of your products can usually be traced back to Sephora, MAC, or luxury brand counters.

2. Speaking of Sephora, you're at least a VIB, if not a Rouge.
You're a regular. You visit at least once a week and the employees welcome you by name whenever you walk in. You have an artist you always book whenever you get your makeup done, which might not be all the time, but is frequent enough.

3. You know how to rock a bold lip color.
Bright red? That's child's play. Fuchsia? Been there, done that. Purple? I'm wearing it right now.

4. Eyebrows.
You do not mess around. Your eyebrows are your pride and joy and you don't leave the house without them being filled in. Like, ever.

5. You have a makeup shrine in your bathroom.
Everything is organized by product type, brand, color, or a combination of all of the above. If you share a bathroom, 95 percent of the storage space is filled with your makeup products. #SorryNotSorry

6. Your non-makeupy friends always ask for help/advice.
"Can you teach me how to do a smokey eye?" "What's your opinion of this product?"

7. You know that good skin care is important.
Because good skin leads to even better looking makeup.

8. You also know that having good tools is important.
And so you have more brushes than you can count and you've gone through your fair share of Beauty Blenders as well.

9. Good lighting is key!
Because walking out into the sunlight only to see a foundation line or unblended contour is your greatest fear.

10. Your are constantly asking your friends how your makeup looks.
"Is my lipstick smudged? How about my eyeliner?"

11. Therefore, anytime you see a mirror, you always check.
And take full advantage of the chance to touch up your lipstick.

12. You follow all the latest trends and techniques.
You're all about contouring, baking, strobing, you name it. And on a good day, your contour might even give Kim K's a run for her money. Well, maybe.

13. On good days, you hate taking it off at the end of the day.
It's like erasing a beautiful piece of artwork.

14. People comment on how fabulous they think your makeup is.
Yes, your makeup is on point. They also comment on how they have never seen you without a full face of fierce makeup.

15. But you don't wear makeup because you think you have to.
No, you wear it because, like a fashionista uses clothes to express herself, you do the same with makeup.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
