Older sisters are the best. Seriously, they're like a built in best friend! My sister and I are pretty tight, and I know I never could have made it this far without her. She’s taught me some pretty great things over the past 20 years. Everything from how to put on mascara, to what to wear on a first date, I’ve learned from her infinite wisdom. So, for everything from fashion to homework, thanks for all the help sis!

1. Her clothes are cuter than mine. Always.

She's been around longer, therefore, she must have cuter clothes! I swear I just look better in her shirts.

2. She's always up for a movie night.

"The Goonies" anyone? Because 80's movies are just better with your sister.

3. Nothing makes a bad day better than a box of brownies and watching "The Real Housewife of Orange County" with your sister.

After a long day, theres no better way to unwind than by watching drama about people you don't know. It's always time for The Real Housewives.

4. She knows how to break bad news to our parents.

Mom, Dad, before you freak out...

5. No one has your back quite like an older sister.

She said what to you? Oh no she didn't!

6. Ice cream is always a yes.

We don't question dessert in this family. We just eat it.

7. She’s the best person to go shopping with. She knows what looks good on you and isn’t afraid to say what doesn’t.

No, those high-waisted shorts do not look good, stop trying to be trendy

8. “Friends” is the best TV show. Ever. It just is.

When your sister's not around, "Friends" is the next best thing.

9. She gives the best relationship advice. She’s been there and done that; she knows.

"Yeah I know he was a bad idea, but he was so cute!"

10. There is never a bad time break out your old home movies.

Because what's better than watching a Christmas morning video from 1998? Maybe that Halloween video from 2003, yeah you know the one.

11. Sister solidarity is a thing. You block her on Facebook, guess what? I just blocked you too.

You don't want to mess with sisters. It's just not in your best interest.

12. No matter how old you are, you're never to old to make a blanket fort.

We may or may not have done this last week..

13. Even though I hate to admit it, she’s right most of the time.

Yeah I probably shouldn't have done that

14. If I ever have a problem she's the first one I call.

"Sis? Hey, yeah, um so..." You know it's a real problem if the conversation starts like that.

15. She's my best friend.

No matter what happens, sisters are always there for each other. Especially older sisters, they are the bee's knees. Just don't tell her that often, or she'll get a big head.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
