There has not been a moment in my life when I wasn't obsessed with books. Admittedly, some of the blame probably lies with my parents, as they made sure they read me a bedtime story every night. But, if I'm being honest, I have to take most of the responsibility for this. Once I was able to read for myself, it definitely was not my parents forcing me into Barnes and Noble to buy another book, nor was it my parents making me stay up late just to finish another chapter of a novel.
And as I look back on my 22 years of book loving, I've come to realize that there are 15 truths all book lovers can relate to.
1. You must be physically restrained from going into a book store.
2. You strongly identified with Belle growing up.
3. There is always time for "one more chapter"
4. Your TBR list actually makes you feel guilty.
5. Regardless, you will STILL buy five more books the next time you go to the mall.
6. You feel even more guilty when you reread a book because there are other books to be read.
7. Rearranging your bookshelves is physically painful.
8. You always know what you want for Christmas/your birthday/any holiday ever really.
9. The book is ALWAYS better than the movie.
10. "I just don't like to read" is an actual cry for help.
