15 Songs That May Have Been Hiding
Like A Boss Girls

These are some of the best underrated songs on my playlists, but they are timeless and created by truly talented individuals. It's never too late to discover a good song, so here are 15 songs that may have been hiding from you:

1. “Broadripple is Burning” by Margot & The Nuclear So And So’s, 2008

This song is best to listen to when walking down a busy street, because you can truly witness those lyrics occur in the bustle of the streets.

You may listen to the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/3EIQofQf9NloNNmvg45...

2. “Free” By This Love, 2011

Once this song is on, I can never bring myself to interrupt it for anything. There’s just something so satisfying about it. Personally, I found Joe McFaddin’s voice absolutely flawless. I highly recommend this song to those interested in indie-rock or pop-punk.

You may listen to the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/5OB5A9tW93qpQVTdagS...

3. “We Know Not” By Olivia Millerschin, 2014

If you’re into “acoustic, indie sorts-of things,” then I would highly suggest Detroit local, Olivia Millerschin. I would recommend this song, due to it’s wise lyrics, unblemished vocals and catchy tune, but you can really get that in any of Millerschin's tunes.

4. “Sweet Resistance” by Transit, 2014

Unfortunately, this band recently decided to split, but they have five great albums together, and I would recommend that you check them all out. I really like this song, because it’s super catchy and upbeat.

5. “Sunflowers” by Less Than Three, 2012

I love when a song can take you back in time, and I really like how this particular song does that while also expressing hints of sunshine, as well as shadow.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/27ZDa59f60tpRTxlBa6...

6. “Clarity” by Second Best, 2015

I get a high off of the energy of this song. I really enjoyed the entire EP, but this song was my favorite because of it's energetic "screw you" message.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/2P3Hhi6mG6ZV5p4ap6R...

7. “Up Until Now” by Rival Summers, 2012

I'm absolutely weak for Rival Summers raw, acoustic sound, and I appreciate the emotion that he conveys in his voice. Talented.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/5EuDUwYUsYQWLwVBjkB...

8. “At the Bottom of Everything” by Bright Eyes, 2005

This song has sort of a strange start, but I am obsessed with it's creativity and uniqueness. It's been over a year since a friend showed this song to me, and I still can't stop playing it.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/6588w3GdDxmdtLMLuwf...

9.”December (Again)” by Neck Deep ft. Mark Hoppus, 2016

Yes, I am talking about Blink 182's Mark Hoppus. I was crazy about the original song, but I also found the rock-twist Hoppus added to the original acoustic sound very appealing.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/1vpKLPLaYymnwkIHALc...

10. “This Place You Love” by Have Mercy, 2014

A friend introduced me to Have Mercy by initially showing me their song "Let's Talk About Your Hair." I was obsessed with that song for so long, until I needed more and discovered this song. I really love the use of imagery in the lyrics, as well as the emotions that the lead vocalist, Brian Swindle, is able to convey.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/7Jajs9GsPhTmKv3nkeS...

11. “Private Fears in Public Places” by Front Porch Step, 2013

I crave emotional voices, and Jake McElfresh definetly has that sphere nailed. Front Porch Step has a couple of other noteworthy songs, so if you like acoustic, indie-rock sort of things, then I would highly recommend them!

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/1XkKYN6tyLAYHjYkjNl...

12. “Plain Sailing Weather” by Frank Turner, 2013

This song is kind of funny and depressing at the same time. I really can't describe it any better than that.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/4Rpz1cMDsEgHbQc9A5o...

13. “Liar and the Lighter” by Gabrielle Aplin, 2010

Gabrielle Aplin's voice gives me goosebumps. I highly recommend this song if you are into pop music, classical music, and/or ballads.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/1AI1ni3LpTJ4DKRr69f...

14. “Don’t Ask Me Why” by Great Caesar, 2014

If you like alternative rock or indie pop, then I think that this song will appeal to you.

You may check out the track here: https://play.spotify.com/track/06QdJtEtHOckzHhq5Eb...

15. “High” by Young Rising Sons, 2015

I really like listening to this song while in the car or on the go, because it's story is extremely motivating.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
