I think we can all agree that music from the 00's was the best ever created. From My Chemical Romance to OG Fall Out Boy there is no denying that you grew up in the best generation. I recently threw together a playlist for one of my friends and figured I should share the nostalgia with all of you as well. This started out as a top 10, but I couldn't choose just 10. So, here are 14 of the best songs from the 00's. May you re-live your youth vicariously through this article.

1. The Starting Line, "Best Of Me"

Oh, The Starting Line. Where do I even begin with them? Kenny Vasoli rocked the "Bieber haircut" before Bieber was even a thing. In late 2015, TSL released a brand new song called "Anyways" (after a nearly decade-long hiatus) that'll make you fall in love with the early-2000's pop-punk all over again. The three song 7" is available for purchase on the band's website.

2. Yellowcard, "Ocean Avenue"

Come on, you know you love this one.

3. Sum 41, "Fat Lip"

I remember jamming out to this song as I rode around on my Razor scooter in middle school. (Damn, we're getting old!) "All Filler, No Killer" was one of the best releases in pop-punk history. I also had the biggest crush on Deryck Whibley, no big deal.

4. Good Charlotte, The Anthem"

I remember running around yelling these lyrics when I was younger. Society was a bore and all I wanted to do was have fun. Now, I'm drowning in student loan debt and working like everybody else. I'm sorry that I've failed you, Joel.

5. Jack's Mannequin, "Dark Blue"

This song always makes me emotional. I saw Andrew McMahon perform it live twice last year and I may have shed a tear.

6. The Offspring, "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid"

I was in middle school when I first heard this song. One of my friends had it as his ringtone on his Motorola Razor (I know, ancient right?) and I knew it would be one of my childhood anthems.

7. Avril Lavigne, "Sk8r Boi"

We all strived to be as edgy as Avril was, but failed. This is where my obsession with black eyeliner began.

8. My Chemical Romance, "Teenagers"

I spent a lot of time thinking MCR was overrated until their break-up in 2013. I realized what a great talent the world of punk, emo, alternative music had lost and instantly regretted not seeing them live while I still could.

9. Fall Out Boy, "Dance, Dance"

It was tough for me to choose just one song from Fall Out Boy because everything from "From Under The Cork Tree," to "Take This To Your Grave" is worthy of being on this list. Even "Infinity On High," could be on here. Old school Fall Out Boy is no doubt my favorite thing on the planet. This lands #9 on my list because guyliner phase Pete Wentz is to die for, obviously.

10. Blink-182, "The Rock Show"

It was a given that something by Blink would end up on this list. They helped make pop-punk what it is today.

11. Jimmy Eat World, "The Middle"

Honestly, who doesn't love this song?

12. Senses Fail, "Can't Be Saved"

IIIIIIIII'M STUCK IN A COMA! STUCK IN A NEVER ENDING SLEEP!

13. Paramore, "Misery Business"

Don't lie, you either wanted to be Hayley Williams or be with her in 2007. Sadly, our boy, Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory (they rule, too) crushed our dreams and proposed to her in 2014. She was the queen of scene. Nobody could pull off orange hair as well as she did.

14. Silverstein, "My Heroine"

Sadly, it's time to end this article. I know, there so many songs deserving of a placeholder on my wonderful list of nostalgia but I decided to wrap it up with the one and only, Silverstein. This group is very important to me because a lot of their music hits home. I am beyond stoked that they are still making music and can't wait to catch them on their upcoming tour with Being As An Ocean and Emarosa.

And there you have it, a list of 14 of the best songs from the 00's. If you aren't crying, reminiscing about how great your childhood was and asking yourself, "What's My Age Again?" then you're doing it wrong.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
