As my parents, friends, and acquaintances have all told me, I am a huge overachiever/ perfectionist/ Type A personality/ whatever. Being an overachiever sounds great, Merriam-Webster defines it as "one who achieves success over and above the standard or expected level especially at an early age." Of course, with that success comes a lot of hard work and stress, and sacrificing a social life. If any of these sound like you, you just might be an overachiever.
1. You don't have any unread notifications.
Any and all messages you receive are opened and replied to promptly, otherwise you get very stressed out.
2. When people ask you about what you do in your free time, you list all of the clubs you're a part of.
3. You were lowkey jealous of Hermione's time turner.
You knew it was a bad idea, but it still sounded super cool and you would have so much more time for activities!
4. Your idea of a "fun night" is reading something *not* assigned.
It's usually still something to do with your major or job though.
5. When your friends do manage to drag you out, you're usually stressed for the first half hour.
After that you almost always have a ton of fun though.
6. You're always either working, volunteering, or studying.
7. If you do have any downtime, you schedule another activity.
8. But all these activities stress you out all the time.
9. You're like, crazy good at multitasking.
10. You always try to be as efficient as possible.
11. You don't understand how some people can not put in the effort you do.
Or at least like, half the effort.
12. When people say you can't take on another activity, you see it as a dare.
13. You're disappointed in yourself when you're perfectly average.
Average isn't good enough.
14. And your friends need to constantly remind you to chill out.
To be fair, you do freak out about minor things.
