If you haven't heard yet, "Stranger Things" is Netflix's newest hit, and it's popularity is spreading at the rate of a well fed wild fire. The 80's set sci-fi thriller has the elements of all of your favorite cult classics and genres, focusing on the story of a missing boy and the efforts made by his friends and family to find him.
There is a perfect balance of mystery, humor, horror, romance, and drama to satisfy a wide audience, but it is difficult to understand this until you actually begin the 8 episode first season. This addictive series has been available for bingeing pleasure since mid July, and if you have yet to check it out, here are a few points that might persuade you to take the plunge.

It is something that we can all relate to, yet without the anxiety of these characters.

Scientific, factually based, and informed questions.
13. They show you how to defend yourself.
With 80's style weapons and stances.

Minuteman style, these kids have their finger on the pulse.
15. Hugs fix almost anything.
The key word here is almost, because unfortunately, in this show it takes more than hugs to fix every problem.
