Carrie Bradshaw said it best, "Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they need to run free.." and I completely agree. Everyone seems to think that being single is depressing or saddening, but I beg to differ. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that being single is not only perfectly OK, but it's also an excuse to pick yourself first. Just because you're single doesn't mean something's wrong with you or that you're lonely. But, if you still don't believe me here are 15 reasons why being single isn't as bad as everyone makes it to be.

1. You can't be cheated on.

I'm not saying if you're in a relationship, then you will get cheated on. I'm just saying that if you're single, then you definitely can not get cheated on.

2. No guilt flirting.

The world literally is your oyster, flirt with the guy (or girl) at the bar, in the supermarket, at the library, in the admissions office, at the DMV. Who cares? You have no one to feel guilty for!

3. If you're tall, you don't have to worry about whether you can wear heels or not.

Go ahead girl, wear those seven-inch stilettos!

4. Saturday nights will always be an adventure.

Grab a couple of your girlfriends and go until you can't look back! Or until it actually pains you to think about the night before.

5. Decision-making flexibility.

This goes for big and small decisions. Want to order an extra cheesy pizza with anchovies? Go for it. Want to go to Italy in a couples months? Do it, you have no one's schedule to work with!

6. There are less reasons to be lied to.

Again, not saying you will be lied to if you're in a relationship, but if things get messy and you have to call in his friends, your friends or eye-witnesses on the situation -- someone's going to end up lying. When you're single, there's no need for the messiness.

7. No in-laws or meeting the parents.

Do I really have to explain?

8. You'll have all the time to fuel your passions.

Love cooking? Painting? Dancing? Drinking wine on the couch for eight hours? Honey, you got all the time in the world to perfect your craft. Do what you love.

9. The whole bed is yours.

This is probably my favorite reason because it's just so true. Guys, admit it: you hate cuddling because you get the dead arm; girls you know your hip gets sore after laying on it's side the whole night. Who can actually sleep like this?

10. No need to share food.

You can stop pretending that you don't mind sharing food when you know deep inside you know that you're starving and all those chicken fingers belong to you.

11. You'll never have to worry about a couples costume for Halloween.

Let's be real, some of the couples costumes are actually horrendous.

12. No need to impress anyone.

You can lounge around all day in your sweatpants, over-sized T-shirt and messy hair for days on end because it's all about your comfort.

13. You don't have to work around someone else's schedule.

You do things on your own time -- what you want, when you want.

14. More time for your friends and family.

They've stuck by your side, they won't hurt you. Plus, they're a guaranteed good time without the awkward silences.

15. Completely independent.

You can be that single girl that doesn't need anything from anyone. Remember, you're only lonely if you don't know the difference between being alone and being lonely. Make the best of it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
