15 Reasons Why Obama is the Coolest

There is no doubt that our boy Obama is the coolest of the cool. And he just happens to be president, too. Here's a list that proves how he made being president cool again.

1. That swagger.

The constant reminder that he's got everything under control.

2. That humor.

"Between Two Ferns", "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee","The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", "Saturday Night Live"; the list goes on and on! The ability to have a self-deprecating sense of humor—even when you're the president—is a talent in and of itself.

3. Our boy's got game.

Look at that height! I bet it didn't even touch the rim.

4. He likes to live dangerously.

"A three and half foot drop? I got this." Look at that form too. I bet he landed graciously. Just as he always does.

5. Children love him.

For obvious reasons, of course.

6. He knows how to greet people.

The only way you should greet Bruce. Nailed it, as always.

7. Always looking cool

He even masters talking on the phone. He's probably talking to Trudeau, planning how they can overload the world with their coolness combined.

8. He brushes off the haters.

Presidents have to know how to get that dirt off their shoulders. Can't let it build up until you are buried under the blame you are putting on everyone else. Thank you for showing us what it is to be self-confident and to believe in yourself first and foremost.

9. This is his 2016 Christmas Card.

Thanks to none other than Justin Trudeau for encouraging this shot to be taken. You deserve our never ending gratitude for this precious moment.

10. His bromance with Biden.

Their love, their friendship, their teamwork. The dynamic between the two is something that we are so lucky to have had. Thanks for an incredible eight years.

11. Once again, that swagger.

Gotta check out my competition, then it is Shades on Blades On.

12. SO MUCH SWAGGER.

"Is it cool in here? Oh wait, it's just me."

13. He's always got our backs.

We always knew Obama was here at the end of the day to make us feel better even when times were rough.

14. That smile.

Reminding us that being the president can also be fun, sometimes.

15. All of the mic drops.

And well-deserved mic drops at that. You can mic drop your presidency on the last day sir. Job well done. Thank you for everything.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
