Girls are always seen as the "needy". It occurred to me that this is a stereotype seen in all people and that the thought of a relationship is the first thought. When girls think about the answer to the question, we base our thoughts about our own life. So, I decided to ask guys and see if they had the same opinion. I simply asked the question "why do you think girls are needy?" with no follow up information. Some guys could not think of an answer, but for others the answers are as follows.
1) "They want to find the attention they need."
There is a time in life where girls feel the need to be wanted, loved and accepted. At this exact moment, you believe that this can only be accomplished by a guy. And there are some guys out there who are willing to give up their world for yours...it just takes time to find that guy.
2) "Public figures give them an image of what the perfect girl should be."
Yes we all admit that we wish we were someone famous and do something that makes us look or act just like them. Stop. Go out and be yourself (someone will fall in love with you that way a lot faster then trying to be someone who you're not).
3) "Guys are considered the ones with strength."
They are the rock we go to when we need to feel protected. We call them when we are afraid, unsure of a decision we are about to make.
4) "They have really high expectations."
Every girl expects that picture perfect relationship they have been dreaming about since they were young. Its hard to find that and it won't be easy. In fact it might not ever happen because a good relationship is one where you fight but stay together because your love is stronger than a disagreement.
5) "They are competing with other bi***es."
If you are competing with another girl for a guy, walk away. It's not worth your time or effort if he is deciding between you and another girl.
6) "They want someone they're able to depend on."
This role doesn't have to be fulfilled by a male, but it tends to be that way. You can always call them to hang out, vent about something or just ask for a hug and you know they will be there in a moments notice.
7) "In today's society there's so many unnecessary reasons to judge... they feel constant pressure to be the best."
Guys are completely okay with the fact that you aren't perfect because they aren't either. Half of the time you try to meet the expectations of others, but are you really being judged or is it just your own paranoia?
8) "Self esteem problems."
Everyone knows the feeling of being called ugly or a mean name that has brought down their self confidence. Perfect hair, eyes, body, personality.... we all want it. But not even a guy is perfect so don't look down on yourself. Imperfection is beauty. We were all created differently because the world can't handle two of us!
9) "They've been spoiled by their parents and expect that from everyone."
We all know those girls who have had everything in life handed to them and are partly jealous that we weren't raised that way. Unless you have an arranged marriage, your parents aren't going to hand you a guy.
10) "To be honest, guys have just as strong emotions as girls but have a much better ability to mask them. Which is good and bad but we tend to not really understand that holding it doesn't actually show strength."
No comment. Perfectly said.
11) "Our society has created this notion that a women needs a man."
With this answer, he followed up by then saying that it was 100% false. I completely agree. Women believe that they need a man to become successful in life, but it has been proven that a woman can be just as successful by herself.
