Trends come and go, and people either love them or hate them, but regardless of how you feel, they exist. Personally, I don't feel the need to follow every trend, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I'll try it, and if I like it, cool. If not, then I just won't go along with it. So for all of the people out there pretending that they don't follow the "mainstream" trends, here is a list of popular trends right now we can't help but love.
1. Half-up, half-down hairstyles
It's a new trend for girls to be styling their hair in a half-up, half-down style. I've seen it with ponytails and with little buns, and I can't help but love the way it looks. I hope this is a trend that sticks.
2. Justin Bieber
After Justin's new album came out, everyone is hopping on the Beiber bandwagon, and it's great. Boys and girls are both obsessing over Bieber and his music, and it's bringing people together in a new kind of way.
These super intricate and cool coloring books are really popular right now, and definitely for a good reason. They're relaxing and fun, and a really nice short break from studying.
4. Chokers
Chokers are slowly coming back into style and I couldn't be more happy about it. They go with everything, and I think they're cool and different. Plus, who doesn't want to relive their tween style with a tattoo choker.
5. Wearing Long Sweaters With No Pants
There have been a lot of girls wearing long sweaters with no pants and high socks or boots, and we love it. Not only is it super cute, but it's also comfortable, and its definitely becoming an acceptable and fashionable thing to go out in.
6. Bold Lipstick Colors
Lipstick is so fun and it's such a cool way to add a little pop to your everyday style. Put on a bright red lipstick for the holidays, or go with a maroon with your sweater and boots, and you'll have a cool new style easily.
7. Over-the-knee Boots
Boots that go over the knee go with everything, and they're so cute. I actually just got a pair myself, and I know I'll be wearing them all of the time.
8. Plaid Shirts and Vests
This is definitely a HUGE trend right now. A cute flannel shirt with a vest over it keeps you nice and warm while still looking trendy. Plus, it's a super easy outfit option without even having to think about it.
9. "Boho" Looks
Boho is kind of like hipster and hippie mixed together. It's like taking old styles and making them more modern. Vanessa Hudgens has definitely coined this look.
10. Stackable Rings
You've probably seen people wear them, or pictures of them on the internet. Wearing a lot of rings is really in style right now, and it looks really cool. It's a fun way to be creative and inventive with your jewelry.
11. Fur Vests
Completely fur vests? Yes please! They're SO in style plus they're soft and warm. It's a win-win.
12. White Sneakers
White sneakers go with everything, and they're very in. When I got my white sneakers, I was so excited and I wear them all of the time now. I have seen a lot of white Converse, Nike's, and more.
13. Booties
Who doesn't love a good pair of booties? I love them, especially with skirts and dresses in the fall/winter.
14. Sweaters with Bralettes
Bralettes are huge right now, and a recent way they have been being styled is underneath sweaters to give them a funky, cool, and comfortable look.
15. Flannels Tied Around the Waist
In the summer, this worked with crop tops and shorts, in the fall with any shirt and jeans, and now coming up on winter and spring I'm sure we'll still be seeing this look. Its easy, comfortable, and cute.
Even though we don't like to admit it, trends are fun. As soon as we think there is nothing else creative on trend, a new one comes out. So, hop on the bandwagon, try out some new trends, or even make a trend of your own, because there is nothing wrong with following them or loving them.
