I personally feel bad for the kids growing up in this generation. Us 90's kids were highly blessed with the animated TV shows and creativity back in the day. Yes, the animation has gotten a lot better as time has gone by, but the quality of cartoons in this generation just doesn't cut it for those of us that grew up in the 90's. On Halloween, everyone was a character from Nickelodeon, Disney or the Cartoon Network. These shows, and even some movies, were our lives.
1. "The Powerpuff Girls"
"The city of Townsville is saved again thanks to The PowerPuff Girls!" Although I think this show was targeted towards girls, boys can't even lie and say they didn't enjoy this show too.
2. "Ed, Edd n Eddy"
The "dorks" that love gumballs and Plank. (Yes, capital P for Plank. He was important to us and deserves to be looked at like a human.)
3. "Johnny Bravo"
The buff jerk that was every young boy's idol, even though he actually never got the girl in most episodes. But it's OK because he made us laugh.
4. "The Amanda Show"
The show with the mini shows in it that were random af, so you didn't know what was going on half of the time...but you still enjoyed it anyway.
5. "Drake and Josh"
"'Are you callin' me a liar!?' 'I ain't callin' you a truther!" The show that has way too many references in it that I still quote to this day.
6. "Zoey 101"
The campus everyone wished they were a part of at that age. The show that made everyone hate Jamie Lynn Spears for getting pregnant and having to cancel the show.
And then this happened... But they still left us hangin'
7. "Jimmy Neutron"
When we were watching this show, we had no idea what a neutron even was... The movie for this show made us appreciate our parents so much more.
8. "Kim Possible"
"Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me." Also, the couple we all shipped. But everyone's favorite character was most definitely Rufus.
9. "Lizzie McGuire"
Let's be real, her and her alter ego taught us so much in life. They showed us the do's and don'ts of how to handle the real world.
10. "The Proud Family"
Penny Proud was the sassiest cartoon character in our time. We always wished to be as rebellious as she was.
11. "Even Stevens"
This was my favorite one. This gif says it all.
12. "Phil Of The Future"
True.
13. "Wizard's of Waverly Place"
"Whats that? A Hat. Crazy, Funky, Junky Hat. Over slept, Hair unsightly, Try to look like Kiera Knightly. Weāve been there! Weāve done that! We see right through your funky hat!"
14. "Fairly Odd Parents"
Taught us a lot of things. Especially boys how the mind of a girl really works.
15. "That's So Raven"
Everyone knows what this is.
I know there are so many more shows to put on this list, but these were a huge part of my childhood. Sorry for making you all nostalgic. But reminiscing back to the good old days never hurt anyone.
