There's some of us out there who are obsessed with the entertainment world. It's really our hobby. We want to know what's going on with our favorite celebs at all times. Here are some of our habits, favorite past times, and truths.
1. IMDB.com is your best friend.
Let's be real -- you have the app on your phone and it's one of the most frequently used apps you have. When watching a movie, you have the app open constantly.
2. If you recognize someone in a movie or TV show, you make it your mission to figure out who they are and where you've seen them before.
Thanks to IMDB, you've got this all figured out. You saw the actor playing a waiter in that one episode of that show that you used to watch in 2009. This happens daily.
3. You have hundreds of celebrity crushes.
Honestly, whether it's the original crush, Leonardo DiCaprio, J.Biebs, or any guy that's ever been in a Nicholas Sparks movie adaptation, you love them all. You can't select one future husband (or wife), but you're 100 percent content with that. Everyone deserves love.
4. People Magazine is basically equivalent to the Bible.
Honestly, those weekly subscriptions are everything for the entertainment-obsessed -- doesn't matter if you're looking at a celebrity in a grocery store picking out some kale. You want to know what your favorite stars are up to when they're not shooting movies or TV shows or making music.
5. And you can basically fill out their entire celebrity/entertainment crossword puzzle on the first try.
Is it the first thing you do when you open a copy of People mag? Probably. Are you ashamed of it? No. You get to learn more about your favorite topic the entire time. Who knew learning could be so much fun?
6. Reality shows are your favorite guilty pleasure.
You watch all of them. "The Housewives"? Yes please. "Kardashians" are a must. Reality stars from your favorite shows are now becoming some of your most followed celebrities.
7. Award season is your favorite time of the year.
You know all award shows are just warm-ups for the Oscars, but you can't help watching all of them regardless. And let's be real - you (like almost everyone else in America) are praying for a long-awaited and overly deserved Leo win.
8. Your family and friends are shocked at how much random stuff you know about celebrities.
Almost daily someone will ask you how you know the most random stuff about celebrities and the entertainment industry, but of course you know all of this stuff when you watch or have seen basically everything on TV currently.
9. They especially want to kill you when you tell them these facts while viewing a TV show or movie or listening to music.
Seriously, we interrupt everything. We know about all of these actors and singers, and we just have to tell everyone else about them in that moment. We know it all - we've seen it all, and we've heard it all.
10. Your DVR is your life.
Seriously, how are you supposed to watch "The Bachelor," "American Idol," "Survivor," "Shades of Blue," all of the "Housewives" shows and Shondaland during the week? It's impossible to do and maintain a life. DVR helps you record all of your faves to watch whenever you please, and you can skip through the commercials.
11. Your FOMO is real when you see snaps of friends at concerts because you're literally a fan of almost every artist.
12. You always know all of the gossip, of course (and you have that core group you text it to immediately).
When you hear something about one of the A-listers, you just have to spread the news. You're part of this entertainment world, after all. You tell your best friends immediately, (probably using all caps), and get impatient when the replies are taking too long. You need to discuss this new development immediately.
13. E! Red carpets are everything.
Those two hours before the award shows are what life is all about. You can't wait to see who's wearing what. You need to see both of Guiliana Rancic's outfits -- and you probably watch the pre-show before the red carpet specials.
14. And Netflix has saved your life.
Seriously, what's better than a platform where you can consistently be immersed in the entertainment field? Even if you're in the mood for music, there's music-centric films or TV shows and documentaries. You're set.
15. When people try to question your knowledge, you can't help but laugh.
Seriously? Why do they even bother? You both know that you are the thought leader on the entertainment industry. And that person thinks they're right? Please, you know it all.
