A little less than a year ago, I wrote an article titled "20 Ed Sheeran Lyrics That Make Us Swoon." Basically, the article contained the most swoon-worthy lyrics that Ed Sheeran has ever sang. There's just one problem... "÷" ("Divide") was not released, yet. The list only consisted of lyrics from "+ (2011)" ("Plus") and "X (2014)" ("Multiply"). With that being said, I decided that I would come back and add to the list of swoon-worthy lyrics that Ed Sheeran has on "÷ (2017)" ("Divide").
1. "Eraser"
"Where I'm heading, who knows / But my heart will stay the same "
2. "Castle On The Hill"
"And I miss the way you make me feel."
3. "Dive"
"You're a mystery / I have traveled the world / And there's no other girl like you, no one."
4. "Dive" ... again.
"I could live, I could die / Hanging on the words you say."
5. "Shape of You"
"Your love was handmade for somebody like me."
6. "Perfect"
"I never knew you were the someone waiting for me."
7. "Perfect" ... again.
"She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home."
8. "Perfect" ...and again.
"We are still kids, but we're so in love / Fighting against all odds / I know we'll be alright, this time."
9. "Happier"
"Just know that I'll be waiting here for you."
10. "Hearts Don't Break Around Here"
"She is the splint that sparks the lighter / And the fuel that will hold the flame."
11. "Hearts Don't Break Around Here" ... again.
"She is the lighthouse in the night that will safely guide me home / And I'm not scared of passing over / Or the thought of growing old / Because from now until I go / Every night I'll kiss you / You'll say in my ear / 'Oh, we're in love aren't we?'".
12. "What Do I Know?"
"Love can change the world in a moment / But what do I know?"
13. "How Would You Feel (Paean)"
"I'll be taking my time, spending my life / Falling deeper in love with you."
14. "Barcelona"
"You're like something that God has sent me / I want you, baby, solamente."
15. "Nancy Mulligan"
"Over sixty years I've been loving her / Now we're sat by the fire, in our old armchairs / 'You know, Nancy, I adore ya'."
With the kind of voice Ed Sheeran has and the lyrics he writes, it is hard not to swoon over his music, himself, and his talent. In my last article, I wrote how he believes that he makes music "that girls fall in love with" and "for women to cry and eat ice cream to." This was clearly the case for "+" ("Plus") and "X" ("Multiply"), and the same now goes for "÷ " ("Divide"). If you ever want music to give you the feels, just listen to some Ed Sheeran.
