15 Kittens to Cheer You Up

No, I totally didn't Google kittens because I was sad and then put them in an article.

15 Kittens to Cheer You Up
Me, Katey Hoffman

For some people, you're just getting back from a fun spring break down somewhere warm, somewhere with family, or just hanging out with friends. Some of us, however, were stuck working, watching over a sick cat, or otherwise having a horrible week. If you're one of those people, here are 15 pictures of kittens to cheer you up.

1. These mug kittens.

Honestly, anything small enough to fit into a cup will always make me smile.

2. These snuggly cats.

Luckily, my sick cat has been very affectionate so I'm feeling some of this love.

3. This little guy.

His ears are as big as his head and I love him.

4. This dapper friend.

What's better than a kitten in a top hat?

5. These party animals.

Well, two kittens in hats might beat one. I mean, look at how cool they look?

6. A classic look.

Forever and always one of my favorite kitten pictures on the internet.

7. Another dapper friend.

At this point, I had been stuck on "kittens wearing clothes" on Google for a bit.

8. This kitten in a sweater.

There are 4 different pictures of this kitten in this sweater that I flipped through. Oh, happy days. Just Google "kittens in sweaters" as soon as humanly possible.

9. These boot buddies.

Just like mugs, kittens small enough to fit into small shoes are another weakness.

10. This ferocious beast.

Look at her go! I believe in her! Which means I can probably get out of bed and do something with myself this weekend to make this break better, too. Inspiring.

11. This bundle of babies.

The only thing better than two cats is an entire armful of fluffy babies ready to snuggle.

12. These love bugs.

They have my heart, all of it. I love them so much and I know they love me.

13. This emoji personified.

 😜

He claims he's a flirty fella, a guy who knows what fun is; and since he's a kitten, it's not creepy, just really really freaking adorable.

14. These birthday kittens.

I could have honestly made an entire listicle just about cats in hats, I love them so much.

15. These different species pals.

My orange cat is my best friend and all I want in my life is a pet hedgie, so this is just the best picture I could have stumbled upon. Look at her steal the kitten's food. So cute.

So there you have it: I compiled 15 very cute kittens for you to make you smile. I had about 15 more I would have loved to include after spending about an hour just looking at kittens while listening to the McElroy brothers, but I cut down. If you had a bad week like I did, I hope this can make you smile.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
