"You're given two choices when you fail: stay down or get up and try again."

"Stop thinking! Just play like you know how."

"There's times when it's going to be hard. You have to sacrifice that feeling for a greater purpose."

"Your happiness is more important than any game."

"Do not let this game define you because this is not what you'll be remembered for. Your legacy will be who you are and what you do off the court.”

"Keep it simple: trust God."

"When choosing a school, trust your instincts. Don't necessarily trust everything the coach tells you."

"Always keep swinging whether you're in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging...the only way to move forward is to just keep trying and never give up, no matter what's going on."

“You can't always be the strongest or most talented or most gifted in the room, but you can be the most competitive."

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."

"I recommend everyone play collegiate athletics. But if you're not totally happy after one year, stop doing it."

"Time management will be the single, most important skill you develop."

"Learn from your failures. You're going to fail, whether that be in the classroom, on the field, or in the weight room. What's most important is to get better from that."

"Make friends outside your teammates. Branch out and do things that you wouldn't because you're still in college and now's the time to try new things."

"Your competitive spirit will drive your success. Talent and skill can get you so far, but wanting to be the best is something that comes from and is perpetuated by you and only you."
