There are things that everyone does in college. Whether if it's going to a party or staying in and eating pizza with a good movie, we have done it all. These are just a few examples:

1. Triple check your schedule online to make sure you are in the right room.

The first day of classes are always the most awkward. I don't know about you but I look at the room, get there, look again, then once more after the class has started. It's weird because I know I am in the right class but I just have to make sure.

2. Watched Netflix all night.

Now this one is just a given. You start an episode and Netflix kind of just takes it from there. You don't even have to click to the next episode. Netflix does it for you! This can be a good and a bad thing. Good for lazy people like me but bad because time just escapes you and before you know it its been seven hours and you have gone through 14 episodes and there is no more time to sleep before your morning class.

3. Ran across campus to get to class on time.

On those days that you are just running late and everything is going wrong in your morning and cannot take another day being late to the class.

4. Ate Chick-Fil-A everyday for a week.

We all remember that week. It's just so conveniently placed in the middle of campus. Not to mention it is great food! Your pass it when you go to study and class. The only bad part is the size of the line but of course you wait in it because its delicious and once you crave it, you have to get it.

5. Walk to the library and realize you forgot your study supplies.

Nothing like walking all the way to the library, finding a good study spot (which is almost impossible), and realizing you forgot your laptop or books. Now what? Walk all the way back to grab them or improvise?

6. Taking the long way to class to avoid someone.

We have all done it. We might not want to admit it but we have. Whether if it was after a break up, a friend feud, or a one night stand, we have tried to avoid someone that we knew we probably could not avoid for long.

7. Procrastinated on a project.

No one ever wants to do a project so why not leave it until the last minute. But of course, even you leaving it until the last minute, you still have to do it regardless.

8. Felt like an adult after you cleaned your dorm.

We dread to do it but once we do we feel so accomplished! You are an adult now so you have to clean up after yourself. I know me, I leave cleaning until like Sunday and then I feel like an accomplished adult.

9. Realized you cannot cook.

This one is for the books. You never realize how little you know about cooking until you actually have to do it. Props to our parents for not having us die of starvation our whole life just to die of starvation at college. Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for the win.

10. Ate way too much at the Dining Hall.

Not knowing how to cook comes with the love of the Dining Hall. Be careful though, we all remember that time we over ate to the point of comatose.

11. Went out late before an exam and felt guilty about it.

Peer pressure is dangerous. Going to that party probably wasn't the best decision even if you thought you were all studied out and ready for the exam. There is a difference between a study break and a party night.

12. Go to a Football game.

Ah, the football games. Even if your team sucked or your friends didn't want to go, you loved going to them. No matter what, you bond with whoever is next to you. Cheering for the Home team when they win is one of the best feelings ever.

13. Get drunk at a tailgate.

We probably don't all remember this one for obvious reasons. But what we don't know won't kill us. So for now, we can just live with what our friends tell us we did at that one tailgate.

14. Tried to procrastinate on laundry as long as possible.

We can only procrastinate for so long with this one and when you cave and start the laundry, we forget about it or it takes all day to do. It has to be done though because we obviously cannot go to class in our birthday suit.

15. Binge watched an entire season in one day to avoid studying.

There I said it. I know I am guilty of this one. Setting up my entire study area and opening up my computer to see that my Netflix is on it. So of course, I watch that instead of studying. Of course, one episode turns into two and so on and so forth.

So many things go into college. College isn't just about studying and exams and learning, even though that's what we go there for, but we also go for friends and to be social and to have fun.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
