15 Beautiful Little Moments We All Take For Granted

We all have a tendency to get caught a little too caught up in life. Whether it's work, school, or other responsibilities, it's all too easy to let yourself get caught up without stopping to look around. However, it's often the smallest moments of life that are the most beautiful, and it is important that we don't let the speed of life cloud these moments. It's important for all of us to stop and notice these moments before life passes us by. Here are 15 small-yet wonderful- moments we should stop taking for granted.

1. The first sip of a coffee that tastes just right.

2. Moments of perfect silence.

3. When the temperature is right in between hot and cold.

4. When you become so engrossed in a book that you forget where you are for a moment.

5. When you smile without even noticing you're smiling.

6. When you hear a favorite song for the first time.

7. When the sun has dipped below the horizon line but it's not quite dark.

8. When the water is in rhythm

9. When you feel the warmth of an animal by your side.

10. Biting into a food that's just the right texture.

11. Hanging out with someone for the first time.

12. Discovering a cool store.

13. Finding the right words for how you feel.

14. Sitting by yourself and just watching.

15. Understanding that the most beauty comes from the little things in life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
