It's been 10 years since The OC has gone off the air, yet one character is still speaking to our souls on a day to day basis. Seth Cohen, the quirky, emo music loving character from the modern soap opera was, and always will be, one of the most relatable characters on television, especially in college. The Holden Caulfield-like character has wit and sarcasm and uses it as a defense mechanism, making him completely relatable to all of our college experiences. Cohen, Summer, and Captain Oats will forever be in our hearts.
1. When you're trying to talk your friends into going out with you.
Because when have a couple cocktails NOT helped anything?
2. When you have 5 papers and tests all in the same week and you just need a good cry.
We all need a good cry sometimes.
3. When it's time to go home for holiday break and you haven't eaten a good meal in what feels like forever.
I will eat this whole Thanksgiving turkey on my own, don't test me.
4. When you go to class and don't understand a single thing the professor is saying.
Can you repeat that, please?
5. The realization that you haven't done laundry in weeks.
And then you continue to not do it for another two weeks.
6. When someone actually acknowledges your achievements for once and you're shocked, to say the least.
The awe from realizing you've done something right.
7. When you start to miss home a little too much.
I just wanna go HOME!
8. When this is just an every day feeling.
This has become an answer to every question ever.
9. When you finally open up to someone and they listen.
Please keep listening to me.
10. When you try to make yourself sound cool while doing icebreakers in class.
Let's be honest, this never ends up well.
11. When you have been studying for a week straight and someone asks what you're doing.
It's fine, I'm fine.
12. When there's an extremely attractive guy in your group project.
It's inevitable... right?
13. Going out with your friends after being a hermit for multiple days.
I wanna go back home.
14. When a creepy guy is hitting on you at the bar.
Seth Cohen, you are the voice of a generation.
