We've all been counting down to April 29, the official release of Drake's newest album, "Views." His new collection of songs, a tribute to his native Toronto, tells a story of the rapper's love life. A hopeless romantic, ex-obsessed and a sensitive soul, Drake constantly surprises us with his witty lyrics, digging at the paparazzi, the girls who haven't treated him right and his enemies (Meek, anyone?). Despite his raps looking for love and the perfect woman, Drake throws in rhymes about his status in the rap game, his luxurious lifestyle and his fame. Through a relatively romantic album, he still has the potential to get his listeners hype. After listening to the album once, twice or a collection of times, these are the lyrics that can get any listener wild. Drake knows how to satisfy his fans' needs for mic-dropping last words, bragging about his net worth, chill style and collection of cars, and women and alcohol.
1. "They cannot fuck with my legacy. I don't know what else is left for me." - "Hype"
He's done it all; no one can get in his way.2. "I pull up in yachts so big that they try to hit me with boat fines." - "Grammys"
Similar to the yacht in Jay Z's music for "Big Pimpin'," which was directed and shot by Hype Williams, Drake's yachts are just as comparable in size. Clearly, he's collected a few infringement notices for not having his Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator card, but it's Drake. Who cares?
3. "Now, me and Kobe doing shots the night before the game. Still drop 40 with liquor in my system." - "Views"
Drake's able to take shots of alcohol with Kobe just as easily as he can shoot baskets with him. Despite any alcohol that might still be in his system that next morning, he can still drop 40.
4. "Nothing mutual about my funds, about my funds." - "Still Here"
Drake might be down to share, but money is not something he considers mutual.
5. "Dropped outta school. Now we dumb rich." - "Pop Style"
Although Drake originally dropped out of high school, his education history does not cut him short. He's possibly more rich and famous than anyone else who did graduate.
6. "Swervin' out the Panoramic. I'm hangin' out; they can't stand me." - "Grammys"
The rapper's net worth allows him to whip in a Panoramic, one of the most luxurious cars, in style.7. "Got so many chains; they call me Chaining Tatum." - "Pop Style"
Just as it's next to impossible to catch Drake chain-less, Drake plays on Channing Tatum as a symbol of pure fame.
8. "My city love me like a college running back." - "Child's Play"
Similar to the way cities give a lot of love to their college football athletes, the Six shows the same amount of love, if not more, for Drake.
9. "Cancun, when I got signed, they upgraded the suite. Don Julio in the freezer that they gave us for free." - "Weston Road Flows"
Drake has the hook up even in Mexico.
10. "Most niggas with a dea couldn't make a greatest hits. Y'all a whole lot of things, but you still ain't this." - "Grammys"
11. "Heard a lot about me 'fore we started off. I know you heard that my pool parties like Mardi Gras." - "U With Me?"
Drake's pool parties, known to have Kanye West, Amber Rose or even The Game in attendance, are comparable in size and craziness to Mardi Gras in New Orleans.12. "If I was you, I wouldn't like me either." - "Views"
He understands his critics.
13. "Whole lot of sixes, but I'm still like hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah." - "Still Here"
The number six is now officially associated with the city of Toronto, thanks to Drake. Although this number could possibly be linked to the Devil, Drake's switched its meaning around, thanking God.
14. "That pussy knows me better than I know myself." - "Faithful"
You know how it goes.
