14 Times "The Amanda Show" Accurately Described College Life

"The Amanda Show" was one of the classic shows that everyone watched while growing up. It was one of those shows that could make you laugh for the longest time and, because of that, Nickelodeon made shows like "Drake and Josh" and "iCarly." Little did we know when we were kids watching "The Amanda Show" that some of the best moments from the show could still be relevant to our lives as college students.

1. When you are a new college freshman and are worried about making friends when you get there

2. But then you find some of your best friends that you can always laugh and have fun with

3. There are also those people who do not give the best first impressions and rub you the wrong way

4. On the first day of every class you have to come up with a fun fact about yourself that you think people will find interesting

5. When someone in your class thinks they sound so smart when giving an answer, but it's totally wrong

6. And you accidentally leave that huge term paper until the last minute.

7. When you and your squad are ready to dance the night away. Bring in the dancing lobsters!

8. And some girls show up to the party wearing the same outfit as you

9. When you do something really embarrassing on the weekend and can't quite remember what it was, so your friends have to fill you in

10. After a weekend of partying, you see the cute guy you were talking to Saturday night in the dining hall

11. And the guy you accidentally gave your number to starts texting you during the week

12. When the dining hall has chicken nuggets (A.K.A. the best day ever)

13. And you go to the dining hall during prime time and see a bunch of people you know

14. As you spend more time at college, you realize how much better it is than high school

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
