It seems like lectures, even the 50 minute ones, can drag on forever. You check your phone when the professor starts lecturing and when you check it again 20 minutes later only 5 minutes have passed. Sure you could actually pay attention, but where's the fun in that? Here's a list of 14 things we all think about when we're sitting in lecture. If I compiled a list of every thought, it would probably be as long as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

1. How has he only been talking for 5 minutes?

I swear I've been here for way longer than that.

2. Wait, what?

Does anyone else understand this or am I just dumb?

3. I wonder what the dining courts are having today for lunch.

I hope there's fries. And cheese. CHEESE FRIES.

4. Why is he talking so fast? I can't keep up!

Well I'll just have to scribble that sentence out now.

5. Do I know that kid sitting over there?

He looks like this kid I know. Wait no, never seen him before.

6. Man, I hope I see a dog today.

I could really use a dog today.

7. Did we have homework due for class?

I hope not. All I did last night was watch Netflix.

8. THIS MAKES NO SENSE

Okay, now there's no way I'm the only one who's confused.

9. I wish my friend would play me back in the iMessage game I sent her.

I really just want to play 8-ball pool.

10. I am literally going to die of hunger before he stops talking.

I can feel my organs shutting down.

11. I'm just going to get on Pinterest to look at ONE thing really quick.

I saw this cute DIY thing and I need to know how to do it right now.

12. Well if I checked Pinterest, I have to check Twitter.

Equality among social media outlets is very important.

13. I wonder if there's any new Joe Biden memes.

I really hope that there is. I love those things.

14. Is class over yet?

No. It's only been 5 minutes since the last time I checked.

Hang in there guys; it's almost time for Christmas Break. Just keep thinking positive thoughts in lecture. May you all pet a dog today.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
