Valentine's Day, AKA the most romantic day of the year, has finally come. You find yourself without a date AGAIN, but lucky for you, you're not alone because some of your favorite gal pals happen to be "choosing the single life this year" as well.
If you find yourself panicking about what you should be doing on this year's Galentine's Day, worry no more because I have a few suggestions:
1. Order a heart-shaped pizza for you and only you. Make your friends bring their own because today is the exception to the "sharing is caring" rule. #sorrynotsorry #pizzaislife
2. Attend the Krewe of Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade in downtown Baton Rouge.
3. Stop by the LSU Memorial Tower to make fun of all the mushy-gushy couples kissing at midnight. Blech.
4. Watch a marathon of "Rom-Coms" on your best friend's couch.
5. Cry into a box of tissues while doing #4.
6. Send yourself flowers at work.
7. Buy tickets to see Fifty Shades of Grey for the midnight premiere.
8. Actually cook something from your "I LOOOOVE FOOD" Pinterest board.
9. Buy candles, bath bombs, and the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine for a relaxing night in the tub.
10. Throw eggs at your ex-boyfriend's car.
11. If you're not into the romantics, you could always start binge watching a funny sitcom such as "Parks and Recreation," because Leslie Knope knows what Galentine's Day is all about!
12. Block any posts on your Facebook news feed that show someone who just got engaged.
13. Make a "Drunk White Girl" playlist on Pandora and dance your way around the kitchen with a bottle of wine in one hand and a cleaning towel in the other.
14. Most importantly, TREAT. YO. SELF.
Just remember on this Valentine's Day that you don't need a man because you have your gal pals right by your side. Also, chocolate.
XOXO. Happy Galentine's Day!
