If you have parents, you’ve probably heard that in college, time passes by in the blink of an eye (so you better enjoy every second). One moment, you’re a naïve, fresh-faced freshman and the next you’re a sad senior pretending to adult. Without even noticing it, while transitioning to upperclassman status, you, •gasp*, grew up. Although you may feel like the same, fun-loving, reckless freshman on the inside, the reality is that you’re a small step away from being a real-life adult. Whether you’re ready to accept it or not, you know you’re an upperclassman when:

1. Benson food suddenly seems like a luxury.

2. And you realize you don’t recognize anyone in the cafeteria.

3. Going out means drinking an entire bottle of wine by yourself and watching cooking shows on Netflix.

4. You realize you’re too good for raspberry Smirnoff.

5. Looking around for parties out on Bellomy seems like a complete waste of time.

6. Free alcohol is practically a myth.

7. Serious relationships actually sound more appealing than a blacked-out-one-night-stand.

8. Hangovers feel like being run over by a car for an entire day.

9. You realize you stopped meeting new people a loooong time ago.

10. Bars are more fun than random house parties.

11. “Getting ready” for frat parties means sweatpants.

12. Your access card has little to no use for you anymore.

13. You no longer have to run into your one-night-stand in the Swig elevator.

14. You realize you have no idea what life will be like post college.
