Everyone dreams of becoming a dancer at some point in their life, but not everyone decides to chase after that dream. There are a select few who dedicate their life to dance, either professionally or privately. Nonetheless, we are all artists and the human body is our canvas. Daily, we all experience similar struggles and share behavioral patterns.
1. You buy a lot of bobby pins, but you don't own a lot of bobby pins
When you need them, you can't find them. When you don't need them you find three underneath your bed, a few at the bottom of your dance bag, and some sitting in the bathroom.
2. You use the "Sorry, I have dance" excuse at least... seven times a week.
It doesn't matter if it is technique class, rehearsal, or personal conditioning and strengthening, but you always seem to have something dance related going on.
3. You're addicted to popping your joints
Nothing beats cracking your back or popping your hips and toes.
4. Discount Dance has saved you more than once
They have EVERYTHING.
5. You always have to dance out your emotions
Regardless of if you feel sad, happy, confused, or angry, you always use dance as your outlet.
6. You can never go with your friends to get pedicures
Let's face it, we are all worried that they won't listen and will shave off our beautiful calluses.
7. Nightmares that you have begin and end with "let's go across the floor"
You eventually learn how to smile (or cry) through the pain.
8. You always have bengay in your bag
This comes in handy more than you think.
9. Whenever music is on, your body moves without you thinking about it.
10. When you are doing nothing, you decide to stretch
And you never regret it because stretching feels so good.11. You enjoy placing your body in the most awkward positions
12. You own more leotards, shorts, leggings, and tights than actual clothing.
Did you get that from Discount Dance?
