It looks so pretty but it's a pain in the tail...

Once you color your hair, you get addicted. I mean, what color will my hair be next time? Blonde? Purple? Blue? Red? Black? Who knows? We love changing it up every now and then---it keeps things entertaining. However, with the beauty of the color comes with some struggles...

1. The first few washes almost make you cry when that color starts washing down the drain. Let's not even talk about the almost staining.

Dye. Everywhere.

2. You hear "Putting that in your hair damages it, your hair will never be the same again" way too much.

If my hair dresser says okay--- it's getting done. If I wanted my hair not to change, I wouldn't have dyed it in the first place.

3. And "I liked your natural hair color better."

It's not your hair so it doesn't matter. I wanted change so it changed.

4. That $75 to $300 payment every month and a half for touch ups or re- coloring is a price some people complain about.

It is already in our budget--- don't argue.

5. You have a collection of old towels for those first few washes too after learning your towels will never be the same after drying fresh done hair.

The dark colored towels that are only in my bathroom are there for a reason.

6. You also have a collection of different colored bobby pins and hair ties from having so many hair colors and trying to coordinate.

Blonde? Brown? Purple? Blue? I have them all.

7. We all have had a box dye no no.

Whether it be in middle school or college when we were too broke to go get it done and the blonde turned orange... we just don't bring that stage in our life up.

8. So. Many. Products.

Color-protecting shampoo, hairsprays, conditioners, serums, heat protectant, we need them all to help the hair stay longer.

9. Getting dye all on your head and struggling to get it off.

Our hair is colored now and so is our head for a few days, just don't look too hard.

10. You always have the nightmare of ruining your sheets because of the dye.

White sheets are a big no no after we get color so dark sheets will be on our bed when we get color. We don't want to throw good sheets out.

11. Roots.

Need I say more?

12. Dry hair is horrible.

The dye dries out your hair, and we will try our best to cover it up no matter how many products we need to find for helping our precious hair.

13. Eyebrows... Do they even match?

A dark haired girl's worse nightmare... black eyebrows with light colored hair.. ehhhh

14. Whats next?

We'll leave that one as a suprise

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
