PSYCHOLOGIES

I don't know about all of you but I walk to class, study, pretty much do anything to music. Being in Italy I've needed to focus a bit more on where I'm going so I haven't been able to jam on the way to class as much. But, I can safely say that I can now navigate my way to and from all of my class buildings with GPS, so let the good times roll. It's time to start my pre-class jam sesh. I have a lot of playlists for different moods but here are just a few of the songs that I will never skip and ALWAYS jam to.

1. Dirty Little Secrets by All-American Rejects

WHAT A BOP! You've definitely heard it if you've seen Bring It On: All or Nothing, John Tucker Must Die, and She's the Man.

2. Go Flex by Post Malone

Call me basic but I love Post Malone and I love this song.

3. Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez

You can't possibly "jam" to this but it is one of my favorite songs of all time so it gets to be on the list.

4. All That She Wants by Ace of Base

Most people know their song "The Sign" from Pitch Perfect but, in my humble opinion, this one is even better and catchier.

5. The Must Be My Dream by The 1975

Really any song by The 1975 could easily be on this list, but let's just go with this one since it's the one I've been listening to most lately.

6. She's Not Afraid by One Direction

Literally, give me any song by One Direction and I will GLADLY give you a full performance.

7. Tongue Tied by Grouplove

If you don't break into a dance when you hear this song, there's an issue.

8. 1985 by Bowling For Soup

I would like to thank the one and only Whitley Taylor for introducing me to this song last summer. How could I have gone my entire life without it?

9. You Need Me, I Don't Need You by Ed Sheeran

I learned the lyrics to this during my sophomore year of high school and it's one of my greatest talents to this day.

10. Holy Ghost by Børns

Catch me attempting to hit the high notes and failing every single time.

11. Cookie by R. Kelly

It's in Magic Mike XXL and I hate myself for loving it.

12. Every Time We Touch by Cascada

A classic.

13. Explosions by Ellie Goulding

This isn't a dance song but I will scream sing it every time it comes on so it deserves to be on here.

14. Made in Hollywood by LANY

If you haven't listened to LANY please add it to your immediate to-do list.

Now you know what I'll jamming to when I'm walking down the street. I hope it gave you some inspiration.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
